Although we have been doing some planning for the summer seasons of baseball for our Men and Women's teams, we are unable to provide any further information on how the seasons may be structured. We will be guided by information coming through from the Government and from Baseball NSW.
Below is a recent update from Sutherland Shire Council
Council Services and Facilities Update
The Prime Minister’s announcement on Friday 8 May directed State Governments to determine how restrictions may be eased for certain businesses and services. The NSW Premier has announced some restrictions will begin to ease across the State from Friday 15 May. This will mean some Council services and facilities are able to gradually re-open, including playgrounds and outdoor pools.
For some of our Services, we have been busy behind the scenes undertaking maintenance and improvement works while it was necessary to be closed, and we look forward to welcoming the community back to refreshed and safe spaces as soon as possible.
We are closely following the directives of the NSW Government. Delivering our services in a way that ensures the safety of the community and our staff remains our top priority.
We thank the community for their patience and consideration of others at this time. Continue to look out for one another, practice good hand hygiene, maintain physical distancing and stay home if you’re feeling unwell.
Yellow OPEN Strict Social distancing in place - keep 1.5m apart, 4m2.
Council processing Return to Training applications received from local clubs to ensure training activities comply with the Order, State Sport Organisation guidelines and directives, and any further legislation and directives of the NSW Government in relation to community sport.
It is the responsibility of the club and association to ensure the protocols outlined in the Return to Training application are adhered to and players comply with current Public Health Orders.
Restrictions still apply to Council’s amenities buildings and this means access is only for the purpose of removing or replacing equipment, setting or disarming the alarm, and using toilets and only 1 person per 4m 2 is permissible.
If you would like to enquire about a specific Return to Training application, please contact your sports team or association, and they'll be able to contact Council.
